The Old Fitzroy Hotel is one of Sydney’s ‘character’ pubs it has two bars, a bistro and is the home to one of Sydney’s first truly independent live theatres. This makes it unique in Sydney as it is the only pub that has a permanent operating theatre attached. The hotel offers one of the city’s largest selections of tap beers, wines by the glass, and affordable meals all within a relaxed and charming environment. This is one os Sydney’s most interesting theatre venues theatre has been home to a diverse range of world class independent theatre since 1997.

In 2013 The Sydney Independent theatre Company (SITCO) became the new residents and managers of the venue. SITCO curates a year round program, comprising of theatre and a range of other entertainment including music, cabaret, comedy and film festivals.
